Up to 150 Society members and their guests came together in the magnificent Smoking Room of the Oxford and Cambridge Club on Monday 12 December for our grand End-of-Year Pall Mall Party. Now the regular final event in our annual calendar it was again a spectacular affair with the Club looking its very best, bedecked as it was with Christmas trees and decorations throughout. Society members had the opportunity to visit other parts of the Club under the guidance of Club staff who very kindly gave their time to help us, and during the evening David Hughes, a member of our Committee, talked to the gathering about the Society and in particular our goal of making each event a unique occasion, only available via the Society. This is only possible through the support of our members to come up with good ideas for unusual, private, tailored experiences. Once you have contacted us with your idea, one of our committee members will work with you to turn the idea into a great event! It’s rare that a London Club allows so many non-members in for such a festive occasion so we were again privileged and most grateful. Feedback during the evening and afterwards indicates it was A Great Success. It always is.
