On a cold Friday evening in March, just in time for Easter, we once again returned to the Covent Garden Academy of Flowers for another creative, interesting and informative flower arranging class under the expert eye of Cambridge Society member Kim Ropek. Kim’s previous class in November taught us how to create our own Christmas table centre piece, this time we made our very own Spring Garden in a box to take home for Easter.
After the hustle and bustle of rush hour there was something hugely satisfying about being in a calm, supportive, artistic environment with a selection of beautiful flowers to choose from and the results were universally lovely – at the end Kim lined up our work so we could see how impressive the arrangements looked together.
It was lovely to see lots of familiar faces who had attended Kim’s first class as well as some new ones and we’d also like to thank to Kim for suggesting the class and sharing her expertise – I think everyone from beginners to experts learned something new and enjoyed the event.
