Members of the Cambridge Society spent a sunny Sunday after at the end of May exploring the rapidly changing King’s Cross area on a walking tour led by Blue Badge Tourist Guide Caroline Piper. We started with the dramatic Victorian railway architecture and the contrast between utilitarian King’s Cross and flamboyant St Pancras, before heading north into the new neighbourhood that has sprung up in the past 20 years completely transforming a once derelict area into a thriving community. If you are looking for a new area to meets friends for dinner or drinks, or simply to wander the canal and the many new parks and squares, then give King’s Cross a try!
