Our Pottery Painting Evening on Wednesday proved to be a rather enjoyable experiment.  We had Bonbon Pottery exclusively to ourselves from 6.30pm until 9.00pm.  A large wall of black bisque-fired pieces gave everyone plenty to choose from, and our group rose to the occasion with bowls, plates, mugs, a butter dish and even a rather splendid sponge-holding frog among the creations selected.  There were soft drinks and a little wine to help steady the nerves of those who were less sure of their artistic hand.  The staff were always on hand to help so we were always well catered for.

The evening was as much about the conversation as the painting, and it was lovely to see people getting to know one another in such an easy and relaxed setting – well perhaps with some pressure of finishing their painted piece!  Of course, the true verdict will take a little longer, as the pieces now have to go through the glazing and firing process before they are ready to collect.  But whatever the final results, everyone seemed to have a very good time and numbers were exchanged for future informal meet ups.  All in all: job done.
