Thirty members of CamSocLon gathered at the Curtains Up Pub before heading underground to the intimate Barons Court Theatre to experience Society Member Raegan Payne’s collection of four vignette comedies, ‘Sweet Nothings’.  Each narrative delved into the complexities of romance, grappling with themes of heartbreak, self-realisation and exaggerated confessions, all guided by Payne’s award-winning writing, which ensured individual entertainment while maintaining an overarching journey of self-discovery and love. Following the performance, attendees enjoyed an exclusive Q&A session with actors, Liv Gillman (Wolfson, Associate Director) and Raegan (Lucy Cavendish), where we delved into dissecting male stereotypes in comedic writing, the intricacies of adapting American scripts for British audiences, along with discussions on improvisation and the creative liberties actors enjoy.  A few more drinks were had before wrapping up the night.  We look forward to the next one!
