Over 40 Society members and their guests gathered for what we knew would be a fascinating and most enjoyable evening in the elegant Coningsby Gallery near Tottenham Court Road. The paintings on display were from the prolific and talented Cambridge artist Michael Aubrey whose works are exhibited and owned all over the world. With the very welcome – especially on that cold November evening – supply of wine and canapés we admired the oeuvres and socialised in a warm private setting that again proved how valuable our Society is for those who want to meet others with similar interests. Michael (pictured) introduced us to his works and talked through the background and his continuing love of painting. We were privileged to have this special evening, and our thanks go also to the Coningsby Gallery for their warm welcome and support.
