On the fringes of the wealth and power of the City of London, Spitalfields has been a melting pot of ideas and cultures for centuries, thanks to the various waves of immigrants from the Romans to the French Huguenots, Irish, European Jews and those from the Indian sub-continent.
On this tour you’ll see the remnants of previous inhabitants, including the beautiful but hitherto neglected Georgian weavers houses and hear the stories of the people who have shaped this neighbourhood through constant regeneration to make it one of the most vibrant and colourful in London today.

About Your Guide
Karen is a prize-winning London Blue Badge tourist Guide and a former international adviser and learning consultant. A London resident for forty years, she delights in sharing her love of the city. Her interests are eclectic, ranging from art through history, fashion and textiles (she has diploma in costume diploma) to music (she is a guitarist, vocalist and band member), science, sport and urban regeneration.

Cambridge Society of London Transfer and Refund Policy
i) At least 14 calendar days before the event: We will provide full refunds (minus any booking/transaction fees, which are nonrefundable). Alternatively, if you have found a suitable replacement, we can change the name on the ticket on the understanding that you will reclaim the ticket price from them separately.
ii) Between 4 and 14 calendar days before the event: Our arrangements with our hosts are always finalised 4 calendar days before each event. With more than 4 calendar days’ notice we can still change the name to someone named by you on the understanding that you will reclaim the ticket price from them separately. Alternatively, we MIGHT be able to sell it to someone else; there is no guarantee of that but we will do our best and then refund you if successful.
iii) Less than 4 calendar days: We regret that we cannot offer refunds if given less than 4 calendar days’ notice.
