On Thursday 23rd July members of the Cambridge Society enjoyed a virtual walking tour exploring London on Film, led by Blue Badge Tourist Guide Caroline Piper.  We “walked” from the MI6 Building at Vauxhall (“Good Evening Mr Bond…”) along the river, through Parliament Square, Whitehall and past Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square, taking in James Bond speedboat chases, the Ministry of Magic, No. 10 Downing St, The Crown and zombie films. We continued east towards St Paul’s Cathedral, frequently seen on film in everything from Dr Who to Paddington 2, continued via the scene of Sherlock’s “suicide” to end at one of the most beautiful and filmed churches in London.  It was a great alternative way to explore London!

We plan to arrange more virtual events in the future.
