On a gorgeous sunny Sunday, members of the Cambridge Society of London went in search of spring flowers in the City of London, led by Blue Badge Tourist Guide Caroline Piper. We wandered through historic burial grounds, the modern gardens of the Barbican estate and church graveyards. A group favourite seemed to be the St Dunstan in the East Church Garden, which has a real overgrown secret garden feel to it, as if it just been discovered in an ancient wood. The highlight was the wonderful views and planting of The Garden at 120, on top of a skyscraper. For all those looking for a place to unwind and soak up London, it is free and stunning. If anyone visits at the end of April when the wisteria pergola is in bloom, please post them on our Facebook group!
