On Friday 29th May members of the Cambridge Society tested their wits in a virtual London treasure hunt and quiz, designed and hosted by Blue Badge Tourist Guide Caroline Piper.  To comply with lockdown rules during the coronavirus pandemic, the treasure hunt and quiz was carried out via zoom and using google maps to explore London.  Every clue followed or picture identified had linked bonus questions of increasing difficulty to really test people’s knowledge!  The winners were member Anthony Gristwood and his teammate Joy Frith who scored a staggering 42 out of 49!  However, 2 challengers were close on their tails, with Society Chair Richard Pearey and guest gaining the silver medal with 39 points and Brett Robinson and guest gaining bronze with 38 points (although they admitted to using google for a couple of questions, hmmmm………).  How would you have done?  For example, would you have correctly identified the 3 real-life people featured in the lovely piece of Mary Poppins inspired street art shown in this photo?  (Answers below)

We hope to arrange more virtual events in the future!
